What are the most predisposed conditions for the formation of microbial organisms and where is antibacterial treatment really necessary?
The characteristics of non-organic polyester materials do not allow the formation of microbial organisms if the relative humidity is lower than 85% RH. For this reason, the use of antibacterial treatments for these locations is not recommended as it will not have any impact on the overall hygiene level and thus will only result in unnecessary costs for you.
However, where this treatment is recommended to be used is in very humid areas with more than 90% RH, which is mainly relevant for the food industry. Especially in dairies, bakeries and slaughterhouses, where potential contamination risks major losses.
Nevertheless, even in these challenging high humidity situations, treatment is not necessary for every solution. For example, if the ducting only supplies fresh air (not recuperated air) and the ductwork will be in operation 24/7 there would be no conditions for the growth of organisms.
Antibac-E treatment
We offer an eco-friendly solution instead of traditional treatments that contain environmentally dangerous chemicals or ions of silver.
The treatment is possible for all permeable materials and colours. For impermeable materials, we strongly advise against the use of the treatment, because although the maintenance seems much easier, you will soon end up with mould and bacteria infected pipes.
The treatment is done with a special treatment added to the washing cycle. The final protection is then effective for 3 wash cycles before the treatment needs to be reapplied. However, because Euro Air materials are manufactured with a very high dust holding capacity, the intervals between cycles are even longer.
