In 2010, Rolls Royce opened a state-of-the-art aircraft engine manufacturing plant in Singapore to meet the growing demands in Asia.
The main objective of this factory was to ensure that condensation did not interfere with the production process of Rolls Royce's high-tech aircraft engines. Together with our distributor LGM, we designed a tailor-made solution to handle Singapore's challenging conditions.
Singapore's tropical climate presents a significant challenge, especially when it comes to maintaining a condensation-free production environment.
Condensation could have a major impact on the accuracy and reliability of aircraft engine production. Our challenge was to design an air distribution system that would eliminate this problem.
We designed a hybrid system of air distribution consisting of 8 textile ducts starting with Ø1800 mm, reduced to Ø630 mm after 100 meters.
The ducting were made of material DFC40 combined with Ø48 mm vario directional nozzles. The entire system was designed to efficiently control air distribution and at the same time solve the problems of passage under the cranes in the factory.
